Safaricom subscribers countrywide were for the better part of Sunday morning cut off from internet connectivity following what appears to have been a major network failure.
Some subscribers also complained of being unable to unable to make and receive calls via the network.
Meanwhile Safaricom has made an official statement through its social media accounts:
