Chinese company releases fake version of iPhone X before the original ones are available for pre-order
- Before the iPhone X is even available on the market for pre-ordering, Chinese have already released the fake version. Find below where to buy it.
- There’s Already A $100 Chinese iPhone X Clone Available, If You Can’t Afford The Real Deal.
Truly Apple is (generally) an incredibly secretive company for a reason — current iPhone X launch notwithstanding, Chinese are at it again! Faking! Apple products are so sought after that other companies looking to make a quick buck can do very well selling knockoffs. Like this one below.
Apple had previously announced that iPhone X pre-orders will begin on 27 October, with shipping to begin 3 November. Its Price will depend on the storage size: 64GB and 256GB configurations, which will fetch £999 and £1,149 in the UK, respectively. Pricing in the US starts at $999.
But Chinese have already released the fake iPhone X and is available for sale and you can order them from DHGate and get it delivered in Kenya and East Africa from this link: https://www.dhgate.com/product/sealed-box-i8-goophone-smartphone-1g-16g/404213719.html#s1-0-1b;searl|3495108495
Say hello to the GooPhone, which looks extremely similar to the iPhone X!
This time around however, the company failed spectacularly, first having its iPhone X design being accidentally outed by a goof up, and then then having its iOS 11 leaked supposedly by a disgruntled employee. Either way, it didn’t take long for the vultures to swoop in.
Meet the GooPhone X
GooPhone is a Chinese brand notorious for selling only knockoffs of premium devices, and this time around it’s managed to get its iPhone doppelganger out well before the actual launch of the iPhone X. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the GooPhone I8 (also called the GooPhone X).
GooPhone has, for the most part, completely lifted Apple’s design aesthetic of the iPhone X for their device, and then committed heresy by having it run Android. It features a 5.5-inch edge-to-edge display, packs a MediaTek MTK6580 chip, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and a 720×1280 HD display.
In addition to all this, GizChina reports that GooPhone has gone the extra mile, getting the Android 5.0 this device runs to instead show up as Android 7.0. It also display fake 4G LTE status indicators while only providing 3G service, and shows 64GB of memory when it only has 16 (though you can add a memory card).
It’s actually a pretty impressive con, especially considering the phone has what looks like a dual camera system, though it’s just a 8MP rear shooter and a 2MP lens on the front. A cheap budget Android phone with no guarantee of how long it’ll even run. But hey, if you want a cheap iPhone X clone you can wave around, the GooPhone X will only cost you somewhere in the range of $100 or Ksh10,900 here
Just make sure you don’t let anyone close enough to inspect your prized “iPhone”.
